JadineSpeaks was created to uplift, empower, and encourage women. However, I have come across the need to uplift everyone I cross paths with. I started JadineSpeaks when I was at a low point in my life, and when I felt hopeless, that is a feeling I would not wish on anyone. I vowed I would do everything in my power to not let another individual feel that way. During my lowest moments, I found healing as I encouraged others.

Jadine Brighton

Jadine Brighton was born in Jamaica and raised in New York, currently living in Connecticut. She is a resilient, kind loving human being who finds pleasure in seeing others win by motivating and helping others. These attributes led Jadine to a career that heightened these attributes and ignited the passion she have for helping individuals, nursing. Jadine finds solace in motivating and helping others. Her struggles have helped her to keep her faith in God, be an humbled individual, and allowed her to see the best in others, and that is JadineSpeakss.

Demisha Forrester is a passionate mental health professional and dedicated advocate for youth in her community. Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Demisha’s journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping others and improving the lives of those around her. She is a 2019 graduate of Berkeley College, Demisha earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. In December 2024, she completed her Master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling, and she is currently collecting clinical hours as part of her journey to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

Professionally, Demisha is making a profound impact as an Intensive Care Coordinator for the Westchester County Department of Social Services Safe Harbor Unit. In this role, she works tirelessly to support at-risk youth, particularly those who are vulnerable to or victims of human trafficking, providing critical services to help them navigate the challenges they face.

Beyond her professional work, Demisha is also an active youth leader and the liturgical dance teacher at the United Church of God. Through her leadership and teachings, she empowers young individuals to grow, both spiritually and personally.

Looking to the future, Demisha aspires to establish her own private practice and open up a mental health clinic within Westchester County. Driven by her passion for mental health advocacy and her deep desire to serve her community, Demisha is determined to create spaces where individuals can access the support they need to thrive.

Cynthia Howard- Author, Registered Behavioral Therapist

Cynthia is currently working on her masters in mental health counseling. Her focus has always been ways to constructively and positively keep her mental health along with those around her uplifted.

Tishana Burton, Substance Abuse Counselor.

Tishana is passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to recovery and healing. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep commitment to fostering resilience in those I work with. I believe that true healing encompasses not only the mind but also the body and spirit. Shes's currently working on becoming a trauma-informed yoga practitioner, specializing in addiction recovery.

Dorion Levy, Undergraduate Student at University of New Haven, Bachelors of Science and Masters of Business Administration; Student Support Specialists/ Coordinator at New Haven Public Schools
